I'm not from Hale Center, but I love it here and am amazed how the "Hale Centerites" LOVE their (your) hometown!! Terry and I are trying to keep everyone in touch via the Hale Center Insider and we love that it's so immediate. We are utilizing technology and going with the ever-changing times.
So many have moved away from where they were raised (much like yourself... and me) and the hometown newspaper is unfortunately not what it used to be. It's not just here..it's Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, etc. where the newspapers are having to change their "normal" way of getting the news out. All over the nation people are getting their news on the Internet or TV because it is NOW...not a week from now or even tomorrow. So large and small newspapers are changing and putting their news on the Internet. We don't want them (the written newspapers) to "go away" because they are so much a part of especially a small town. They depend so much on advertising dollars and subscriptions, so if you subscribe, please keep doing so.
Some charge also for your news on the Internet,...but the Hale Center Insider is FREE. And...we can provide as many pics as we want, long or short stories, and any breaking news, we can have online within minutes!! Like yesterday when the fire broke out northwest of town, we can post things quickly.
We need and want YOUR input too. Any history or old pics of HC that you may have and want to post in the Hale Center Insider, you can email it (or them) to us at literockonline@hotmail.com.
We also want to feature YOU as the LiteRock Star of the Day. We can use your FB or Twitter Pic and if you'll send us some info about you to the hotmail email address above, we will have your pic and info on within the next week. You can go to the Hale Center Insider and get an idea of what others are saying (current or past).
Thanks for the prayers for what we're doing . God is truly blessing the many, many hours we put in to make it work...but it's all worth it. So, go to http://www.halecenterinsider.com and take your time reading...and don't forget to listen to our Internet Radio Station 24/7 at http://www.LiteRockonline.com.
Thank you also for your support in spreading the word out about YOUR hometown.
We love y'all

Mother's Day
Mother's Day is a very special day to honor mothers, but for me anymore, it is so different. I lost my Mom to an aortic aneurysm in 2003. It's amazing how much I still miss her (and hearing her sweet voice), especially on special holidays or occasions.
Mother's Day was always a special day to recognize what an awesome Mom she was. Even if the miles were too great to be able to take her to lunch, I would send flowers, or a special gift, and always a phone call.
She loved each of us kids unconditionally, like Christ loves us. Mama Fudge was an awesome Godly woman, and always going about trying to help others. She dedicated her whole life and existence to caring for my mentally handicapped sister. Mom always said it was such an honor and privilege that God chose HER to care for Susie. My sister is such a kind and loving person and I know it comes from being cared for by our Mom.
I will take flowers out to her grave Sunday, but I know she's in Heaven with the Father still interceding for me and so many others. I still feel her presence and love that she instilled in me all my life, and I know someday I will see her again.
I am so blessed to have a wonderful Mother-In-Law, Mary Garrison. She shows her love for me and her children (Terry, Susan, Larry and grandchildren) every day. She loves the Lord and is an awesome prayer warrior. I'm thankful to have her in my life!!
If you are fortunate to still have your Mom on this earth, please take the time to honor her this Mother's Day. The Bible says,

I'm very blessed to have 2 children of my own. Bryan who has 2 sons (Evan and Dylan) and April who has 2 sons (Kyle and Tyler). They are kind and caring and love their Mama :0) I am here for them and I know they will always be there for me. They are a gift from God and I love them so much unconditionally!!

Faith and Patience
Our world is in such turmoil as I write this. The earthquake, tsunami, and if those two things weren't bad enough, the radiation leaks in Japan are horrific and unimaginable. They believe over 18,000 lives are lost and I'm sure the number will rise even further (unfortunately). Now, the bombings in Libya to stop the "nut" Qaddafi (or however you want to spell it,,it's always different)..stop him from killing innocent people in his own country. He's now threatening to use mustard gas even in Europe (to the north of Libya). No one seems to know how this is going to end since it is unfolding quickly, and if he doesn't back down, who knows what will happen. It seems there is unrest everywhere we look and people all over the world standing up for freedom.
BUT..God's Word said it would be this way, so we shouldn't fear, but expect the second coming of Jesus when these signs appear. My faith is so strong and I believe God is in control and sees everything going on. I pray in these times that people will turn to Him for strength and comfort.
My therapy for my broken upper humerus (arm) is going well. It sure is a long road back to recovery but my faith again is strong that I will get full use of my arm and fingers. It may take a year, but everyday I will be going for the goal of complete recovery. That's where my patience comes in and choose not to get discouraged that I'm not there yet. Are you feeling that today about something in your life?
Don't forget to always turn on www.LiteRockonline.com to listen to while you're surfing the web or checking your emails. And...pass it on to a friend. We appreciate all of you more than you can imagine!!
May the Lord bless your week.

TRUST AND FAITH
I started physical therapy Monday in Lubbock for my broken upper arm. I learned so much on how to exercise the arm the RIGHT way. Lex (the therapist) didn't hurt me at all ....like I do. I have been of the mindset that no pain/no gain. In losing weight that is the motto, but in the healing of my arm, that's not true. The little movements until the pain starts are what will help me heal (not pushing it past the pain). I expect way too much of me and beat myself up because I'm not using the arm/hand like I want and expected. I would never have dreamed it would be 4 months and still barely able to use it.
God has taught me so much through this. TRUST and FAITH. Trusting in Him and His Word. He has healed me before and saved me from the brink of death back in 1996, and I'm trusting Him now for the complete healing of my arm. And...that's where FAITH comes in. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. My faith is strong and I know He will see me/us through this.
The Tuesday Morning Show is about to start at 9am so I'll be talking to "y'all" then. Make it a great day :0)
You can listen to www.LiteRockonline.com 24/7, and the featured artist of the day is Tracy Lawrence at the top and bottom of each hour until midnight.

Thank you Lord and Thank YOU for the prayers!!
I have been trying to write all day and thank all of you for your concern and prayers for my broken arm and the nerve/muscle damage that has occurred because of the immobilization of the arm. What a dilemma!! I had to keep the upper arm still so it could heal and that made the muscles weak (if you don't use them, you lose them I always heard and it's so true!!). Now my elbow won't straighten out, the right hand and fingers don't work well yet either because of the edema (swelling) and the pain is really bad. It's extremely painful to try and hold a pen to write a check, or a simple thing like trying to make a fist.
Yesterday Terry and I went to see Dr. Scovell at Lubbock Sports Medicine to see what can be done and what is the next step? He assured us that with Physical Therapy (PT) and lots of hard work doing the right therapy, working through lots of pain, I will be able to get my hand/arm back. It's going to take a while, but that's ok, I just want to be able to do things again (fix my hair, do my makeup, etc). We were so thankful that Dr. Scovell said he didn't think I needed surgery!! That's a real blessing because of underlying health issues, any surgery would be extremely dangerous for me.
We just feel like the Lord is hearing all of our prayers and He has led us to the right doctors. Again, thank you all for caring and the continued prayers through this. Jesus still heals today and He is going to see us through this.
Be sure to check back everyday to www.sallyandterrywright.com and see the video pick of the day and then click on Listen Live. Join us for the Morning Show 9a-11a central time M-F. We have fun and love you being here and being a part of it. No matter where you live in the world, you can hear LiteRockonline.com 24/7..The technology is amazing....what an awesome time we live in.
Until next time, remember..."With God all things are possible.".... We find faith by not only believing what Jesus says, but even more, by trusting Jesus Himself. If we only look at what He says, we will never believe. Once we see Jesus, the impossible things He does in our lives become as natural as breathing."

The Last Day of February
Good Monday morning and welcome to the last day of February 2011. The month went by so fast!!
Did you have a lot of wind where you are???? Yesterday was pretty wild here in Hale Center. There were times when we couldn't see the grain elevators across I-27. I have been in Hale Center almost 12 years now and I have only seen a couple dust storms and this was a doozy. When I lived in the High Desert of California years ago (Victorville), there was one time I couldn't even see out the window of my house..it was solid dirt. I'm happy to say, yesterday was nothing like that. The fires that are still burning all around our area are bad. I pray they get them under control today :)
I think Terry had a wonderful birthday. We are still enjoying his birthday cake and ice cream. He was so "blown away" by all of the birthday greetings..y'all are fantastic.
Well, I go back to the "Morning Meeting" this morning at 9am central. I'm so excited about it..I've missed y'all so much. Terry and I will be sharing everything going on locally and nationally and lots of MUSIC!!!! Join us ok?? www.sallyandterrywright.com and then click on Listen Live :) You can even request a song if you IM or chat..on FB I'm sally fudge wright / on Hotmail we're literockonline@hotmail.com.
Oh, as soon as you open our website, first check out our YouTube pick of the day... I promise...it will make you laugh!! In fact, thinking about it right now, I'm laughing out loud by myself :)
I hope you have a blessed day and week.

God is so Faithful
Well, it's Thursday morning 2/24/11. I cannot believe this month is almost over!! The time is flying by so fast.
In just 2 days is my honey's birthday. Terry's Birthday is Saturday and it looks like we may sleep in a little (he gets up so early during the week)..and I have a couple of awesome presents for him!!! I may even bake his favorite cake and make a special meal for him :) Then we'll probably celebrate with his family at a later date and celebrate his mama's bday (Mary's) and step-dad's bday (Tom's) at the same time. We have 3 local birthdays within weeks of each other. My Southern Calif grandsons Dylan and Evan celebrate birthdays next month too and I wish we could celebrate together too!
I know in my title I said "God is so Faithful"...He is!! Even when I can't see any healing in my broken arm after 3+ months, and I can't use my right hand for much because of the nerve damage, I am standing on FAITH. I have a lot of people all over the country standing in prayer for my healing and I appreciate it so much! My daughter April has given me so many plaques and magnets that have "Faith" all over them and I have them placed all over my house and it's a constant reminder of God's Faithfulness.
I go next week to see an orthopedist and see what I'll need to do at this point. I'll keep everyone posted.
Don't forget anyone on their computer can listen to www.LiteRockonline.com while they Facebook or checking your emails...And, if you're on www.sallyandterrywright.com checking out the website, you can hear our "Pick of the Day" YouTube...Fish Heads (I bet you'll be singing it all day). We have a new one daily so check back every day. And...every day we have a new artist of the day. Today, Thursday, we have the BeeGees at the top of every hour and tomorrow will be Willie Nelson.
Have a blessed day and remember:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” - Jeremiah 29:11-13

Valentine's Day with Terry "A Romantic Comedy"
As I write this, it brings back so many years of Valentine's Days with Terry. It was 21 (almost 22) years ago in Oct 1989 that I met this great guy in Weatherford, Texas. He worked in radio, I was in cable TV. I think it was love at first site, but I was so afraid of getting hurt (again). It was so funny that I wasn't even looking for anyone and God literally put Terry in front of me (he was in the crosswalk by the radio station in Weatherford) and I had to wait for him to cross over...I kept revving my engine (I drove a Porsche) acting like I was going to run him over..LOL. (looking back I was being quite a tease). I can still see him being silly...he made me laugh out loud that day and ever since!! I was instantly attracted to him (he was and still is sooo cute)...but I was leary.
I really sought the Lord's guidance after we met. I wanted our relationship to be from Him. And it was and is!! We dated less than 2 months when Terry asked me to marry him on Dec 3rd, and we were married just a few weeks later on Jan 14th, 1990. I'm so glad I stepped out on faith and followed my heart and married this wonderful and Godly man. Terry seeks God's heart and wisdom everyday, and is the man God put in not only my life, but my children's (Bryan and April). We have 4 "perfect" grandsons that love him too so much (he's Papaw/Pops). I'm a very blessed and thank God daily for Terry, family, and friends.
I love being married to my best friend who allows me to be me and loves me in spite of me (LOL). He coined the phrase for us as "A Romantic Comedy". We love to laugh!! (In fact, that's one of our email addresses). We just don't take life so seriously...we're only here for a little while before the Lord takes us "home" so why not enjoy each other and not let pride and principle get in the way of your marriage/relationships.
Don't let the weight of this world weigh you down. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. Acknowledge Him with your whole heart and he will guide your paths" (Sally's paraphrase of Prov 3:5,6)
I hope you have a wonderful and fun day with your sweetheart today (Terry and I are going for an early dinner, getting xrays for my broken arm and blood tests..ray, fun, fun huh). If you're still looking for that special one, seek the Lord, ask Him and keep asking to send the ONE He wants you to have. Always keep Jesus in the center of your life. I pray that God will bless you like he has me, and so many other couples around me that God has brought together.
Happy Valentine's Day and don't forget 24/7 while you search the web or work, you can listen to our Internet station.. http://www.LiteRockonline.com. Just click it on anytime...thx for your support by doing so :)

Happy Saturday 2/12/11 and John 3:16
What a pretty Saturday morning! It's brisk (about 20 degrees), the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Terry and I are enjoying our cappuccinos. My devotional in short this morning was simply John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." It's a verse we see at ballgames and so many people quote it...but it has so much impact!!
My Dad (Chester Fudge), on my birthday (April 23rd) in 2007, received Jesus with his whole heart in the middle of the VA hospital in Amarillo. In front of hundreds of people Dad was not ashamed or embarrassed. He held my hand, closed his eyes and my step-mom Charlene said the "sinner's prayer" and Dad repeated it after her. When he said Amen...I saw a countenance change. I can't fully explain how or why, but to know my Dad, he was a very strong, proud man, and for 80 years he rejected Jesus and always said "not yet". April 23rd was his day of salvation (Praise the Lord). Once he was saved, it was as if the weight of the world Dad was carrying was lifted. For the first time in his life he had peace that surpasses all understanding. He was saved just two weeks before he went comatose and then died 5 days later of pancreatic cancer. I will always be thankful to the Lord that Dad was saved on my birthday (what an awesome present), and I was holding his hand when he was saved, and also when he left this world to be present with the Lord for eternity!!
If Dad had waited any longer, he would have been incapable of receiving Jesus. "Today is the day of salvation". We don't know what tomorrow has in store. Sometimes we don't have tomorrow, so enjoy today and live it like there's no tomorrow. And if you haven't received Jesus, don't wait until tomorrow..receive Him TODAY!! You will be so glad you didn't wait one more day.
You can simply say..."Lord Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He paid the penalty of my sins by dying at Calvary and rose from the dead. Thank you for saving me and I surrender to You and will serve You all the days of my life. Lord, please show me how to start living for You...in Jesus name, Amen". Like Joel Osteen says, "Get into the Word and a Bible-based church and God will take you places you've never dreamed of".
Have a wonderful Saturday.

God's Hands (Thumbs)
I hope you're having a good Thursday and staying warm. This weather has really been a booger-bear huh.
Did you see my post on FB yesterday with the awesome picture? If you look closely at the window, you can see frost marks that look just like GIANT thumbs!! Terry and I both felt God's presence and it was almost as if He was giving us a big ole thumbs up. They're melted now, but I'm so glad to have captured it. I hope your monitor can reproduce it. Don't forget, you can listen to http://www.literockonline.com/ anytime, anywhere from your computer or smartphone.

Good Wed Morning
I hope you're staying warm and safe. I also hope the homeless and less fortunate have found a warm shelter. This is the coldest spell that I've seen since 1989 when I lived in Weatherford, TX. That was right after Terry and I met. It was cold ( -6 ), but the wind wasn't much of a factor then like it is now! It's dangerously cold if you're outside for even a short time.
At least the schools in DFW are closed due to the weather (yea for grandsons Kyle and Tyler) and no doubt for April too since I'm sure Brookhaven is closed too. Bryan...You are so fortunate to be in sunny Southern Calif!! You tasted that really cold spell out here in '89...remember that?? I know you're saying "that's why I stayed in California!"
If you're able to be at home out of this bad weather, the nice thing we have is warmth and the Internet AND MOST IMPORTANTLY....WE HAVE..... www.LiteRockonline.com. Terry and I are here with you ALL day. Join us :-)

BRRRR Baby it's cold outside!!
It's 8am Tuesday and Terry and I stayed at our office last night (we have a cool apt in the middle of our bldg) so we didn't have to commute to work on the ice and snow. It's only 9 degrees and wind chills of -20!! My heart goes out to the homeless and those who don't have adequate heat. Be sure and check on loved ones and the elderly for the next few days. AND...don't forget your pets that normally stay outside...let them in until the weather warms up :-)
Stay warm and safe and don't forget to take www.LiteRockonline.com to work or home or..on your smart phone!! May the Lord bless your day.

New DVR
We had to replace a defective DVR and I programmed the new one with our favorite shows. What an accomplishment!!
Happy Sunday
We're enjoying a cold, yet sunny Sunday afternoon, just Terry, me and our dog Ginger. This is the day the Lord has made!! I will rejoice and be glad in it.
